VHD Project Start

The research project VHD was launched after a successful evaluation of the Austrian Research Agency. Thus the research consortium led by NXP Semiconductors can focus there work on this new topic.

A jury appointed by the Austrian Research Agency (FFG) has evaluated the submitted VHD proposal very positiv. The statement of the jury was "This is a promising proposal with good involvment of three research institutes. The proposers are competent to achieve progress in the area of higher data rates of NFC. It is expected that the project can have a strong impact." The Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology makes the research funding contribution available.  The project consortium consisting of NXP Semiconductors, the Technical University of Graz, the Upper Austria University of Applied Sciences and the Alpen Adria University in Klagenfurt can focus their work on the high speed air interface.
